Welcome to Vijnana Telangana

Vignana Telangana, headquartered in Hyderabad and registered as The Vignana Telangana Society (VTS) under the Telangana Registration of Societies Act, 2001, operates across all districts of Telangana. In collaboration with Vijnana Bharati (https://vijnanabharati.org), VTS promotes a dynamic science movement with a Swadeshi spirit, bridging traditional and modern sciences, as well as natural and spiritual sciences. It organizes various programs to educate the public, particularly the younger generation, on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). These initiatives involve collaboration with scientists from national research institutes, industry, and academic institutions.

Aims and Objectives

To champion the cause of Bharatiya Heritage with a harmonious synthesis of physical and spiritual sciences which nourish each other and flourish together.

To propagate science knowledge among the common people particularly the younger generation by organizing lectures, seminars, symposia, tours and excursions, exhibitions and distribution of books of popular sciences.

To invigorate the science movement with a Swadeshi spirit across all levels in the state, including through print and digital media.

To rejuvenate the Swadeshi Movement in this age of science and technology for the purpose of national reconstruction.

Activities

Vignana Bharati (Vibha) is a nation-building science movement based on the nationalistic ethos. The activities of Vignana Bharati are spread to organize seminars, workshops and brain storm sessions on the themes which promote science concepts to address the current problems of the nation such as conservation of energy and water, promotion of traditional medicine (Ayurveda), tribal welfare and to build self-sufficient modern nation for the future generations. It conducts programs to create scientific temperament and awareness among school/ college students and general public. Vibha organizes annual events to pay respect and remember the contributions of the great Indian scientists. Further, Vibha aims to interface with the Government and other agencies for the development of appropriate policies on education, economics, engineering, technology, industry and the like. Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is an initiative of Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), in collaboration with National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an institution under the Ministry of Education, Government of India and National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. VVM is a national program for popularizing science among school students of standard VI to XI, conceptualised to identify bright minds with a scientific aptitude from the student community

OBJECTIVES

1. To create interest in science among students.

2. To provide hands-on training to students through workshops and other events.

3. To educate school children about India's contributions to science and technology, from traditional innovations to modern advancements.

4. To provide mentors to guide students in advancing their education in the field of science.

5. To conduct competitive exams to identify students with a scientific mindset.

6. To recognize and honor successful students at the state and national levels.

WORLD OCEAN CONGRESS (WOSC)

WOSC is Vijnana Bharati’s flagship programme in the Ocean Sector, held once every 3 years, the WOSC is designed to provide a common platform to all stakeholders of the ocean sector to meet, discuss and address common problems and priorities that need urgent attention.

For a maritime Nation like India, the WOSC holds immense potential as it is the one and only activity that attempts to bring together institutions, agencies and associations involved in shipping, fishing, mariculture, oil & natural gas exploration, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem management, legal & geopolitical systems etc., to discuss and resolve overlapping contemporary issues and problems most of which need holistic interventions.

BHARATIYA VIGYAN SAMMELAN

BVS is a conglomeration of scientists, artisans, technocrats, traditional innovators, students and common people organised once in two years. It has become an excellent platform to bring together whoever contributes to science, which has become a definition and identity in the field of scientific seminars and symposiums.

It is widely believed that the insights of future development are rooted in the Vedic perspective (Indian Knowledge System) that sees the whole world as one family and in fact enunciates oneness of the whole universe.

BVS aims to provide a channel of communication between traditional and modern science using any Bharatiya regional language. BVS champions the cause of Bharatiya heritage and cordial synthesis of natural and spiritual sciences; and to motivate young scientists towards greater creativity and originality.

INDIA INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE FESTIVAL

India International Science Festival (IISF) is an initiative of the Vijnana Bharati organised every year since 2015 in association with the Government of India. Till date, the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Science, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Biotechnolgy, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, and others have been an integral part of IISF.

The main purpose of IISF is the celebration of science by all. Engagement of common people with science in a joyful and entertaining manner is essential for a healthy, prosperous and meaningful life. Through its creative programs and activities, IISF provides opportunities to people and scientific fraternity in the country and abroad to come together, work together and experience the joy of doing science for the well-being of India and humanity.
